Try
to find satisfaction and security with family, friends
Some people strive to get revenge and will do just about
anything to get even.

Why
are people always out to get one another? Especially in high school. Someone
is always upset with someone else or at something. Some people strive
to get revenge and will do just about anything to get even. The sad thing
is it seems people receive great satisfaction from doing this.
The reason some people enjoy hurting others is to make up for their insecurities.
Instead we should first all try to find satisfaction and security within
our homes, family and friends because in the long run that’s all
we need and that’s all we will have left.
It’s a waste of time to always try to be recognized in high school
for something, whether it is a good or bad acknowledgment, for it takes
away from what matters most; focusing on family and friends. Now some
people can take on all these roles and still remain humble, but only few.
Some people are so insecure they tend to lie to make themselves look cool.
To prevent this, self-actualize and realize you are who you are and if
someone doesn’t like you, they aren’t worth your time! You
have to know you are pretty or handsome, you have to know you are a neat
person, and you have to know people really do like you. How do you know
for sure? Through your family and friends. Listen to their compliments,
believe them, and take them into consideration.
Remember this phrase: It’s nice to be important, but more important
to be nice. So this applies to being nice to everyone you know and don’t
know. Being nice can get a person to be known in high school when they
aren’t even trying to be known, that’s humble.
Popularity can make a person feel good, but what can make a person feel
better is, again, being secure with themselves and putting friends and
family first. Then you can try to be popular if you absolutely can’t
live without being known by everyone in your school.
My point is be humble in everything you do, be nice to all people, accept
yourself and who you are, and don’t try to make up for your insecurities
by being negative towards others. Instead find them in what matters most
and I guarantee you, you will never feel the need to put someone down
so you can stand tall.
