Theater
under construction
Work
is now underway to turn the former music and drama building into a 400-seat
performing arts center. The Yosemite Joint Union High School District
Board of Trustees approved bids for the project at its meeting in April.
This is just one of several construction projects on the Yosemite High
campus at this time.
Other projects include the football stadium renovation and the installation
of an all-weather track; construction of a building to house 23 classrooms;
a swimming pool complex and a riding arena.
Funds for the projects have come from a bond passed in 1998, state bond
funds, grants, private donations and state matching funds.
YJUHSD Superintendent Bill McCabe expects all of the construction projects
to be completed in the next 18 months.
