YHS Career Center Presents:
Badger Art Trails

YHS Students met local artists and learned
about careers in art. The artists displayed their
artwork and explained their crafts to students.

Joan Constable
Joan has her own studio: Burning Brush Studios.
She works with watercolor and likes to experiment with
different mediums. She is a lifetime educator and
is very active in the North Fork Community Arts.


Sheila Boyd

Professional artist since she was 18, started as a
tech illustrator and opened her own airbrush company,
Bodies by Boyd, in 1989. She does upscale custom
body work for motorcycles, cars and other bodies
(recently doing airbrush makeup for Hollywood residents).

Jonathan Fleming
A YHS graduate (1996), Jonathan is a self-taught artist
recently working with glass as his means of artistic expression.
He now concentrates on glass jewelry exclusively.

Red Man Singers
A group that gathers to sing and drum Native American songs.
They have been together for about one year. They are
hoping to go to a national competition in the near future.

Jacqueline Kurt, Fiber Artist
Fiber art is her thing and she finds it fun to break the rules and
end up with an art piece that is totally unique. She brought her loom
to demonstrate as well as some of her work with gourds.

Donn Lusby, Photography
Donn Lusby's passion with the camera was born at a young age in
high school. He has taught photography classes and his images have been
published in magazines, calendars, book covers, brochures, and catalogs

Rich Powell
Rich is a freelance artist for publications in print and on the web.
He worked in the computer game industry for nine years as a
concept artist, a 3D artist (max) and an art director.

Don Putman, Sculpture
"Putt" has an impressive array of artifacts and costumes that he
and his models wear while posing for art projects. He uses color
to emphasize the spirit and character of his subjects.

Terry Robison
Terry is a creative artist with over 20 years experience solving the graphic
needs of the entertainment industry. An experienced team leader drawing on
professional quality illustration and design skills with the innovative development of
fresh visual concepts. He worked as an assistant Art Director for a nationwide magazine.

Christine Loberg White, Photographer
Christine is a friendly, energetic and known for her
relaxed teaching style. She has won many local and County art
contests. Her work has been published in calendars, magazines,
posters, post cards, note cards, books and brochures.
