8th grade overnight trip

The 8th grade end-of-the-year field trip will be an overnight trip to Camp Oakhurst.

Camp Oakhurst offers a variety of outdoor, fun-filled, team building activities. Students can climb the rock wall, balance themselves 30 feet above ground on the rope course, or free-fall then swinging on the big swing. There will also be teams for basketball, swimming and beach volleyball.

For the outdoor dance and barbeque, students will be dressing up as one of their favorite “60’s” characters from an assigned novel this year, The Outsiders.

The 8th graders will be treated to root beer floats and the-end-of-year video provided by Jon Corippo’s class (including a live, special one-act comedy show by Mr. Corippo). Before lights out, the students have to sit through one of Kathy Anderson’s scary stories.

In order to give all 8th graders an opportunity to attend and participate in their end-of-the-year field trip, donations of any dollar amount ($5-$50) are being accepted. Make checks pay-able to Coarsegold School.
