Mock Trial wins No. 16 at county

Once again, for the 16th time in a row, the Yosemite High School Mock Trial Team has won the county title, defeating Madera High.

Jason Koczanowicz, Land-on Grossi, Amit Gurnani, Kristin Lukan, Veronica Stew-art, Paige Turpen, Caitlin Blum and Melanie Deto received special recognition awards for their roles in the competition.
The YHS defense team is Koczanowicz, Turpen and Bree Boyd. The pre-trial team is Kristin Lukan and Amit Gurnani.
The prosecution is Ali Watt, Veronica Stewart and Gabriella Ripley-Phipps.

Witnesses are Caitlin Blum, Christine Casner, Melanie Deto, Jessie Fischer, Landon Grossi, Jessica Tyson and Valerie Woolard. Amanda Schotke is the bailiff and Brittany Bohner is timekeeper.
The team will go to state competition in April. YHS teacher Jim Lee is the coach.
