Joline Martinez and Silbestre Gaeta have been selected as Students
of the Semester at Ahwahnee High School. They were chosen because
of excellent attendance, excellent attitude and excellent work habits.
Silbestre was also Student of the Semester in the spring of 2003 and
he was Rotary Student of the Month in November 2003.
Lacy Abbott, a senior at Yosemite High, is the 2004 recipient of the
Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizenship award. She was
selected by the staff based on dependability, service, leadership
and patriotism. Lacy and other recipients from the valley area were
honored at a tea in Fresno February 14.
 Jordan
Franck, a Yosemite High sophomore, has been selected by the staff
to attend the Northern California Youth Leadership Seminar June 11-13
in Belmont. The conference will focus on leadership and volunteerism.
Schools are asked to select “an excpetional student who you believe
represents the potential of your student body.”
