First step toward a pool |
|
A
ceremonial groundbreaking was held last week as the first step toward
construction of a swimming pool complex at Yosemite High School. The
pool will be 25 yards by 25 meters. Work is currently underway on
a retaining wall with construction of the pool scheduled to begin
“as soon as possible,” according to Yosemite Joint Union High School
District Superintendent Bill McCabe. The pool has been made possible
through bond funds, state matching funds, a private donation and fundraising.
The bid of $968,500 for the pool was awarded earlier this month. Bids
for the buildings in the pool complex have not been awarded yet. Pictured
