Coarsegold yearbook adding many new features this year

The Coarsegold Yearbook class has added some new wrinkles for this year’s edition, including music production and a photo CD that comes in addition to the DVD containing all the year’s various events and productions.

Apple’s Soundtrack software is being used by students to compose and produce original music pieces which will be played on the yearbook as theme songs for various shows, soundtracks and songs featuring teachers and students.

The photo CD included with the yearbook package will have all the pictures that don’t make it into the printed yearbook so students can have the most memories possible from their school year.
A new software has become available that allows more artistic and bigger photography than last year’s edition, according to teacher Jon Corippo.

The yearbook staff is also in negotiations to keep the yearbook price down to last year’s price in spite of the new additional features.

Pricing should be as follows: $25 for the whole package (yearbook, DVD, picture CD) with a discount of $5 for purchases before the end of January. Total sales will be limited to 300 yearbooks. Corippo advises parents to buy early because last year was a 100 percent sell out.

The Coarsegold Yearbook is totally kid-produced (including some of the bookkeeping) and they really appreciate all the support the students and parents have given them, Corippo said.
