On the behalf of Yosemite High School's EAST Lab. We are looking for volunteers to participate in this year's annual film festival It is an opportunity for kids from various schools to show their movie making talents. There will be different categories and prizes for the best films. It is being held this year at the Yosemite high school's performing arts center. This will be the 7th annual film festival. We are eager for your movies. The categories include live action, animation, and documentary. The 1st place winners from each category win $100.00 and 2nd place wins 50$. We are very excited you have chosen to participate in our fifth annual film
festival.
CONTEST RULES:
1. Submission must be the work of students currently enrolled in school.
2. Entries must be 5-15 minutes in length.
3. This is a school-sponsored event so content discretion is advised. No
nudity, foul language, drugs or alcohol, graphic violence, or illegal activity.
4. All submission must comply with the California Ed Code prohibiting obscenity,
libel or
slander.
5. Format should be DVD or VHS.
6. For all copyrighted/third-party material used in your entry, you must have
written consent
from the holder of the copyright.
7. VHS/DVD must be labeled clearly with the following: Team name, Title, Contact
phone

8. Entry must include: Entry form, Release form, Entry fee. $5 per film.
9. Judges will consist of media professionals selected by Yosemite High School.
10. Any changes to the rules or prizes will be posted on the Yosemite High School
web page.
11. Films will not be returned, so send high quality copies, rather that originals.
12. The best entries in each category will be screened at the Met Cinema on
April 1 at noonish
