Stan Lawrence, the girls tennis coach, believes this year’s team will be an improvement over last season’s team.

“We have eight players who played last year. This should give us some experience,” says Lawrence.

Returning and new

The returning players are   Kim Montag, Raquel Dorman, Amy Jacobs, Niki Samuels, and Amber LeRoy.

Also returning are Nicole Grimm, Kanisa Withnell, and Mindy Rubin.

The new players are Eva Robben, Christina Harloff, Jessica Little, Catherine Napier and Kaitlyn LeRoy.

Also, Kiyana LoLuis, Johanna Eichstadt and Gabriel Phipps.

The team to beat

San Joaquin Memorial is the team to beat in the league. Memorial usually has a few state-ranked players on its team.

The league looks to be a little stronger this year. A good effort by the Badgers gives them a shot at second place.

A “good experience”

“Our philosophy is to have a good team experience while having some fun playing tennis,” says coach Lawrence.
